    Customized Training - In Brief

While Justice Solutions Staff and Associates offer a broad and diverse range of trainings, workshops, etc., all have the knowledge and skill to develop trainings on virtually any victim-related topic customized to the specific needs of the requesting program, organization or agency.

"Trainings By Request" allow you to tailor the subject matter, the length, and even the format and structure to closely match your training objectives with your target audience.

For example, if you are seeking a training for correctional officers on stalking, JS staff can quickly develop a training that focuses on issues related to incarcerated offenders. Topics might include: developing a system to monitor offender's attempts to communicate with their victims: stalking/harassment of correctional officials; special stalking-related provisions for parole; or supervising paroled stalkers.

Whether the training is presented in lecture format, interactive lecture, or participatory formats, you can select the educational approach that will maximize learning for the target audience.

JS trainers employ the latest adult learning theories with a focus on the practical application of what is learned on the job. Thus participants leave training not only with the knowledge they need to improve services to victims, but also the tools and motivation necessary to apply the knowledge in practice.

    Selecting A Custom Trainer

While all JS staff and associates are more than capable of developing customized trainings on virtually any topic imaginable, each possesses specialized areas of expertise. As such, we recommend that those seeking a customized training use the technical assistance search function of this website to find a trainer whose expertise is most closely matches the topic or issue for which training is sought.

Therefore, if you are looking for training on stalking in the corrections context (as in the example above), you would likely want to select Trudy Gregorie from among the list of possible trainers, even though there are half a dozen JS trainers that offer trainings on stalking - the reason being that Ms. Gregorie has extensive background in both stalking and corrections.

If however, if your interest is in training law enforcement on the subject of counter-veilence techniques in stalking cases, your best choice might be David Beatty, given his extensive experience in training law enforcement with regard to stalking and cyber crimes.
